Kokology - 1

Okay..!! Here we go!

Akhirnya aku terbebas dari Ujian di semester ini (baru semester ini bu.. masih ada perjalanan panjang menanti! Moga-moga aja tetep bisa semangad yach.. This goes out to all of you students too, Spiritt!! <Koq jadi kayak iklan fatigon yah, udahan deh>).

Nah, jadi, seperti yang telah saya tulis dalam post sebelumnya, akan saya coba sharekan penegetahuan saya tentang kokology. This is the debut baby! Oya, aku bakal post HANYA pertanyaannya saja. Jawablah pertanyaan tersebut berupa comment atau mail dan aku akan men-translate sebenarnya apa sih yang ada di balik pertanyaan itu. Jangan lupa, usahakan tidak berlu berpikir tentang apa jawaban anda. Spontan saja! Deskripsikan pula jawaban anda dengan jelas.  Semakin natural dan lengkap jawaban anda, semakin baik hasilnya.  Okeh..?? Mari kita mulai  :

Kokology

Sebuah tulisan yang awalnya tidak ingin saya publikasikan karena tidak seru bila dilakukan secara tak langsung. Kokology, yang pertama saya kenal sekitar 5 tahun silam, adalah sebuah ilmu dari Jepang. Dalam bahasa lokal, kokology berarti pikiran atau jiwa. Buku tentang Kokology pertama dibikin oleh seorang profesor (yup, profesor! Ini jelas mendukung bahwa Kokology ngaa main-main) di Universitas Rissho dan Waseda di Jepang. Beliau juga adalah seorang penulis buku-buku best-seller tentang psikologi.

Jadi, apa itu kokology? Pada dasarnya ini adalah sebuah permainan, bukan permainan biasa tentunya. Permainan yang dimaksud adalah permainan psikologi dan hipotesis yang didesain untuk mengetahui kecenderungan sesorang dalam berbagai hal dalam hidupnya. Mulai dari keluarga, cinta, pekerjaan, dan bahkan seks. Dari pertanyaan yang simpel, unik dan terkadang nyentrik, ternyata bisa menyibak begitu banyak hal yang menarik untuk disimak. Yang jelas, kunci dari permainan ini adalah kepolosan dari jawaban seseorang. Semakin jujur jawaban sesorang akan pertanyaan yang diberikan, semakin besar kebenaran yang tersingkap. Dan jelas amat tidak seru,  bila seseorang mengetahui apa yang ada di balik pertanyaan kokology ebelum menjawabnya sendiri. Itulah mengapa saya mulai menulis etntang kokology agar seorang teman saya yang baru saja saya beritahukan tentang hal ini ternyata menyebarluaskannya tanpa melestarikan esensi dari kokology itu sendiri dengan serta merta memberikan jawabannya. (ehem! Tolong perhatiannya buat oknum yang merasa bertanggung jawab!)) Mau tahu lebih banyak? Saya akan memberikan beberapa contoh pertanyaan dalam kokology dalam tulisan saya berikutnya, tanpa jawaban yang bisa langsung terlihat, jelas. See you around!

Alpro for [(y)our] life

Bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu sekalian, anda tentunya mengernyitkan dahi (meski sedikit) melihat judul di atas. Bagaimana tidak, masa ada sih kata “Alpro” dalam bahasa Indonesia? Apa pula maksudnya kurung-kurung yang ngga jelas itu?

Well.. Posting hari ini sebenarnya adalah suatu wujud tumpahan “kegembiraan” atas semua “kenindahan” yang muncul di kampus saya baru-baru ini. Salah satu mata kuliah yang saya tempuh semester ini adalah Algoritma dan Pemrograman 1, atau dengan kata lain ya Alpro yang disebut di atas itu.

IT3 telah tiba..

Baiklah.. Ini sekaligus menanggapi semua comment yang isinya SEMUA protes masalah bahasa. Trims banget udah mau mampir yah bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu, dan hadirin semua. Comment kalian jelas amat berharga buat blog yang memang masih baru ini.

Hmm, to tell the truth (ah, akhirnya pake bahasa luar juga khan!) , memang saya merencanakan suatu perubahan terhadap blog yang satu ini, termasuk dari segi bahasa yang digunakan. Maunya sih ada versi foreign language, ada native juga. Niatnya sih supaya bisa bener-bener fresh dan bermanfaat plus menarik tiap post-nya. Doakan saja Ujian cepat berlalu dan saya bisa cepat merealisasikannya.. (Amin!)

Eniwei, hari ini saya akan angkat bicara sedikit saja tentang sebuah even yang akan dihelat pada akhir bulan ini, yaitu seperti yang udah bisa diliat di heading, IT3!

Pertama-tama, apa sih IT3 itu? Kepanjangannya sih Information Technology Training Time. Inti dari kesemuanya itu terletak pada Training Time. Mengingat begitu besarnya peningkatan terhadap kebutuhan akan kemampuan dalam bidang teknologi informasi, kita dari Sistem Informasi ITS Surabaya mengadakan suatu workshop dengan dua fokus pembelajaran, Joomla dan Klik. Kalau anda adalah seseorang yang berkutat dengan pembuatan website eksklusif atau pengeditan suara-suara yang akan dijadikan sebuah mahakarya, namun anda merasa kesulitan atau tidak punya waktu yang cukup untuk berputar-putar dengan teknis yang jujur saja, ruwet. Maka anda harus datang ke workshop yang satu ini!

Surabaya City Tour!!

It’s public holiday, yet time is still a luxury I can’t have yet. I’ve been out all day inspecting places in the city that’s worth visiting. All this is actually related with the international conference my campus is holding. It’s called WOCN (Wireless and Optical Communication Network). There’s this tour around the city for the participants which happens to be professors! (HA! Now we know that even professors do need a walk)

And so, I visited some tourism object in the cities. And it was some sort of fun, you know. Apparently, Surabaya isn’t as bad as we can see on the surface. There are still some spots that I think is pretty nice. If you’re not from Surabaya, then you should come and visit sometimes. Especially because of this special events related with the city’s birthday which is 31 May.

Oh, one thing is pretty crazy. Didi you know? I actually did the surveying with my own lecturer (Ha, hope I didn’t do anything bad that’s gonna get me troubles in his class) He’s a nice guy, though. Named Mr. Arif Wibisono, he’s I thin a young passionate lecturer who has a nice potential in his world if you know what I mean. But seriously, no lecturer could be that friendly and humble. And I really appreciate that! I mean, that’s how a lecturer should be, right? Down to earth, yet prestigious.

Okay, enough about him. Let’s go back to Surabaya! I grew up here and so, I have no other word but this : Rock! All the dazzling, embarrassing, frightening experiences happened in the city. So, guess what? I gotta say that it raised me up as well. I believe that you too have got a lot from your hometown. Then maybe it’s time for us to return the favor. What can we do for our city? Many things! We just need to start. Small things like helping to preserve the environment condition by throwing garbages on the provided place would be wonderful. Or maybe trying to promote your city like what I just did? Hehe

What does trust have to do with friendship?

Let’s just say, supposed we got a total of 100 friends in our life til now. How many of ‘em are really “friends”? Or are they just another person we have to live with while we actually don’t want to? And we call it friendship? I’ve begun to see a concept that I can stick with when it comes to friendship. Often, I feel that friendship is nothing but a real nonsense. Due to some bad experiences I guess. But then, how cold this life would be without people that accompany us? Think we’d make it alone? No way.

Again, disappointment is a definite factor. Quarrels are normal. Consequently, when we’ve really known our friends, and so have they, then what we call friendship is then formed. A bit similar to a dialog, which is coming to meet and end between the speakers. It’s about how far we can deal with each other’s bad habits and how they do the same as well. Understanding, caring, and helping within the range of our own capability, cause friendship doesn’t mean dependent. Yet, the bigger trust each side puts on each other, the stronger it is. Or else, it’s nothing but a mere formality.

Just like what the song says, so many things we’ve been through, but if you don’t believe me, just put your hands on me. The simplest thing to express Cause nothing, nothing beats our узы дружбы (tie of friendship).

дружба (friendship)? Now is when we should start questioning about ours.

The pick-up can come at anytime, are we ready?

Last night, my buddy called and we talked about, well, a movie. But somehow it grew into a talk about how humans usually die in the middle of a sleep. It creeps me out, you know. We are aware that our time might come at anytime, but when it’s there, right before us, and we might not know that it IS the time, it got me into thinking, am I ready? To meet our maker, be liable of what we’ve done all this time?

Hmm..

Hold on a sec!

I haven’t finished my study in the college. I am not married yet. I’ve never been to Paris yet. I don’t think I’ve made parents happy enough. I still hide a lotta things to say to those I care for. There’s still much to do!

Funny, isn’t it? It’s like, we know it’s coming, but what do we do to face it? I even have a motto, saying “Live today like it’s your last day”. Of course, it works as a motivator to me. But do I really live to it? It’s April 2008 everyone. And maybe, just maybe, there’s not gonna be a 2009 for us. No, there’s not gonna be May for us, or even no tomorrow?? Huff.. There I go again, don’t freak out just yet. But the point, I think, is about what we are doing at the very moment. When we hurt people around us, ignore those awful things that we can actually do something about, do something bad, what’s in our head? What good will it do? Inevitable, indeed. But here’s the case, can we make a start? Try to remember, whatever we’re doing, we have to cherish every moment! Regrets always come late. And when it comes, it’s already too late. So, let’s start today!
